Come join us to celebrate the life and work of one of America’s finest artists, the late Peter
Parnall (1936-2017) formerly of Waldoboro, Maine. Considered one of the finest pen and ink illustrators in
the world, Parnall illustrated some 90 books for adults and children alike featuring the animal
kingdom he so loved. “Animals and nature are my religion” he liked to say. The show, primarily
drawn from two private collections in Maine, will feature a number of his prints and Caldicott
award-winning books.
