I have always been a hands-on kind of guy. For fifty years I
managed and physically participated in my painting and
fine finishes business, Water’s Edge Custom Finishes. While
running the business I also built a home in Rockland, where
I raised my family, and a camp in northern Maine, where I
relax with my family and fish to my heart’s content.
I fixed my vehicles for years until they became too
computerized for my expertise. I also taught my sons to
paint so they would always have something to fall back on if
needed.

I retired from painting in late 2023 but still had the urge to
create something with my hands. Making tiles helped
satisfy that need, but I like variety, so I am trying other
avenues. A year ago, a friend gifted my grandson, Eban,
and me with a large selection of stones and equipment. To
honor my friend’s memory, Eban and I have spent many
hours together learning and creating jewelry from those
precious gems and stones.
We hope you will enjoy seeing our creations as we continue
on our journey to study, grow, and expand our line of art
pieces.
