Our approach
Rooted in Maine
Sungrown cannabis has deep roots here. We grow our own to keep that tradition alive.
Sungrown
All of our cannabis is grown under the sun, in light deprivation greenhouses and full-term outdoors. The light dep curtains let us run three turns per season- getting our first harvest to market in June, while our full-term outdoor crop finishes in the fall.
Living Soil
We mix our soil in advance of each season, giving the biology time to develop before we plant. The result is terpene-rich flower with complex flavor, aroma, and effects.
Seasonal Genetics
Each turn of the greenhouses expresses genetics differently. Sun angle, temperature, and season all affect how a plant performs, so we select strains accordingly- shorter flowering varieties for early and late season, sativas for the heat of midsummer.
Where we Grow
Two Farms. One Approach.
Midcoast Maine
Somerville Farm
Our flagship grow in Midcoast Maine. Somerville is where we’ve been growing since the beginning- four greenhouses and full-term outdoor cultivation, all in living soil.
Western Maine
Freeman Farm
Our second grow, tucked in the western Maine mountains. Greenhouse and full-term outdoor cultivation in living soil.
