Farm Update: Late Summer in the Greenhouses and Our First Outdoor Grow
This season marks a few firsts for Atlantic Farms. Greenhouse 1 just got planted out for it’s third turn of the year, and for the first time we mono-cropped the entire house with Sour Amnesia Haze. It’s part of a broader pattern we’ve noticed: hazes and sativas consistently outperform in our greenhouse environment.
In our medical greenhouse, we’re trialing a new set of sativa genetics from Bayside Genetix, and are excited to see how they perform in turn three, with the potential for some new keepers we’ll run next year.
The bigger news this year is our new adult-use outdoor grow. Just twelve months ago, this parcel was forested land. Our farm team put in significant work to clear and prepare it for production, and while it came online a few weeks behind schedule, it’s now planted with a mix of seed stock and clones. The plan is to run this field’s harvest into oil, expanding our concentrate offerings for the year ahead.
We’re treating this as year zero for the outdoor program, a season focused on getting the field operational rather than optimizing yield. With the groundwork now in place, we’re excited to see how this land performs in the years to come!
